Hello Everyone,
I can't believe that Christmas is so close either. It feels like September or October here, not December. We start church at 9:00 am on Jan 1st, it'll be interesting how many investigators we will be able to get there that early especially because we haven't been able to get more than 2 and really most of the time we only have 1.
It's crazy how much love you develop for the people you are around as a missionary. I hope to carry this love for the rest of my life and remember the feelings and desire I have to help everyone feel comfortable in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Ryan Jones is such a great guy. He is scheduled for baptism Jan 7 but he is leaving to go back to his home town over the holidays and won’t be back till the 6th of Jan. The other day right before we left from his apartment after the lesson he asked us if we could give him a blessing before he leaves so he will be able to have the strength and knowledge and spirit needed to talk to his family about the decisions he is making in his life. So we will do that when it gets closer to his departure date.
I don’t get to eat sweets very much and I have just come to the realization of how much I love them ha-ha :)
The gospel is true. Prayer works like a charm, God loves us all very much and will do everything in his power (except force us) to let us return back to him. The Book of Mormon is a fantastic book and I absolutely love reading from it. In District meeting last Tuesday Elder Anderson showed us a scripture that I absolute love now. Its 3 Nephi 5:13 I believe, and it says "Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. And I have been called of him to declare His word unto His people." and maybe some other things. I don’t have my scriptures with me so I had to quote it from memory but it tells exactly who I am and why I am here. I love it.
This gospel is a great thing. It can bring so much peace and happiness into the lives of anyone and it is so sad to hear when people don’t want to accept it or even listen to the message we share. But never the less I don’t get discouraged, I keep on smiling and knowing that I’m here in Georgia for someone special and I’ve got to find that person. Anyway, Love ya and Merry Christmas to all who reads this great letter.
Love Elder Klingler
