First Letter from the MTC

Hello Family, friends, and anyone else reading this email,

Well i have been in the MTC a week and have loved it. The spirit here is so strong and everyone is really nice. It's crazy to think i've only been here for a week cause it feels like months. The days here feel like they are forever long it's weird. I'm pretty sure my district is the best district there is, we are all going to Tallahassee Florida so we have become really close and it's crazy to think that some of these elders might be my companion in the field. On Monday we were scheduled for service and Elder Wintrode and I got to vacuum one of the buildings with those little push vacuums that elemetary schools have. We were laughing so hard about everything and it was just so funny. I get a long really well with him. My Companion is Elder Snow, he is from Utah and we work really well together in teaching lessons to investigators. We do a lot of role playing here and for those of you that watch American Dad, Roger always pops into my mind when we start cause we are suppose to take it seriously and i dont know of anyone who takes it more seriously than him haha. Anyway back to the investigators, Elder Snow and i have three people we are currently teaching, James, who is from Dallas Texas and knows the bible really well, on the first visit he pulled out Revelations 22:18-19 on us and asked us why we have a more scriptures, i wasn't sure how to answer him. But the next lesson we taught him we found a way and it was just amazing. The spirit there was super strong and our teacher congratulated us on doing so an awesome job teaching James. Another investigator we have is a fellow named Alan from Hawaii. He is a family man so we have been focusing on how the gospel can bless families and i think he is really receptive to what we are teaching him. The last investigator we teach is an Abassador from Haiti named Alexandre Paul, it's hard to understand him at times because of his accent and he asks a lot of questions and i'm not really sure if he want's to learn about the Doctrines of Christ as much as he wants to learn why Mormon families are so happy all the time despite the fact that we give so much away and have such huge families. Oh, there is a website called dearelder.com and apperently it's really cool for people to write missionaries at the mtc. It's kind of like an email but they print it out here and then stick it in my mailbox so you dont have to spend money on stamps and you can write a lot more often. For those of you interested. But I still like hand written letters so don't stop doing that. The members of my district are so awesome Elder Helgesene is our District Leader and does a great job at that. We have Elder Wintrode and Elder Elzey, they are a companionship. Elder Elzey talks a lot and likes to joke around. We have Elder Tialino and Elder Locken, Elder Locken is from Huntington Beach California and loves to surf, i'm thinking maybe he can teach a few things haha, and Elder Tialino is a Samoan from Independance Missouri, He is a really funny outgoing guy that loves to sing and dance, It's funny to watch him dance and he reminds me a lot of Kara with his facial expressions and stuff he does, it's great. Elders Brown, Warburton, and Helgesene are companions and Elder Brown's companion never showed up on Wednesday so he is in with Elders Warburton and Helgesene. He is a funny guy and we get along really well. I actually get along really well with everybody, which is great. My roommates are going to Albania on their missions so they speak Alabanian a lot and i'm know a couple of little words in that language that i like to say cause they sound funny and makes me smile. They are really nice and i'm glad i share my room with them. It's kind of weird cause everyone here looks super familiar but i've never seen any of them before. I saw Elder Corbett the other day and that was really nice, he looks really happy and seems to be enjoying this place and his mission. Well i only have five minutes left so i should probably wrap it up. I just like to tell anyone reading this that this place is amazing and the i have learned so much being here. The power of Prayer is great and my testimony of that just keeps getting stronger and stronger as the things i ask for really get answered. My timer is started to get mad at me, it's turning red and everything so i should hurry up and finish. Well I love you all and i'm glad to be here but i miss everyone a lot. Jay! I love my journal and i'm so glad you gave it to me, i've written in that thing so much. Well gotta go, Bye bye
Love Elder Klingler
P.S. The church is true, love it! :) And if i could do a thumbs up in writing i would, so just pretend that i am doing it :)
